Ask Abe: Is Cowansgiving Good (Or The Trifecta?)

Dear Abe,

Is Cowansgiving any good?

As I am a statue, I have no opportunity to eat food. That being said, I know the festivities of Cowansgiving are wonderful. A lot of work and care is put into preparing delicious food, above and beyond regular Parkhurst food, for every student, and although the lines are long, they are worth it. (Students rave about their old Cowansgiving memories before and after the day itself, and I hear it all). So, gather up a group of friends and head to Cowansgiving for a meal to remember (in a good way, of course).

What’s the “trifecta”?

Well, I know the horror stories the Flame has told me. I would honestly prefer not to answer since the stories make me shiver as much as a statue can. But if students insist…I’ll explain. Usually, this event takes place during late nights and Frat parties. It involves a lot of running from Olin to the Flame to somewhere near Norton with…interesting outfits (or lack thereof). I try not to pay attention to it, but I occasionally hear splashes. (I am not a snitch.) All-in-all, it is an…interesting activity. (Perhaps not one for these colder months.)
