However, due to low registration numbers for Summer Term 2025, registration will be reopened for additional course options. For just the low, low price of $5,000, you can join Centre students on campus this summer and become a year-round student.

ENG 354: Through the Looking Glass
Interested in English, Classics, or going abroad? This course will be perfect for you. In the tunnels under New Quad exists a magic mirror, and, by stepping through it, you will be transported to Wonderland itself! Students will get to explore a fantastic new land of wonder and magic, learn how to communicate with a variety of cultures, and study the intricacies of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland—through personal experience. Students are recommended to bring a list of dietary restrictions and never consume anything labeled “Eat Me” or “Drink Me.” Centre is not responsible for any changes in height or size that a student experiences. Smoking is not permitted.
CHE 215: Cowan Cooking
Science is chemistry at its roots, and it is time to embrace that with Cowan dining. Students will get to learn how to cook to perfection in this course, and how Cowan creates its signature dishes that students themselves love. There will even be a competition at the end where students use all their learned skills to craft new dishes, and the cheapest—best, we mean—will be brought to Cowan for the Fall 2025 semester.
EGR 250: Renovations
With the inception of Centre’s new engineering programmers, our future engineers need hands-on experience to catch up with the knowledge other schools provide. After all, Centre may not have accreditation for its Engineering program yet, but it has buildings, and what else should an engineer do but get practical experience? In this summer class, Centre students will get to work on all the current issues students are complaining about, such as renovating Centre dorms in Breckinridge, Chevans, and Achwell, trading room space for private bathrooms, getting into the ceiling and fixing the AC, and even breaking walls down for remodeling.
ECO 110: How to Throw Away $5,000
Ever wanted to learn how to waste a lot of money? Well, this class will teach you that! For the low price of five thousand dollars, you will be housed at Centre over the summer and get a general-education credit in exchange for a mediocre class and lack of internship experience. Of course, course material will go beyond that, and you will study other Centre students who made this interesting financial decision in their classes. The final exam will be an investigation of Centre’s finances and whether or not this initiative is making money.
ANT 231: Away to Lexington
Centre has a wide variety of study abroad courses, and several are offered in the summer to provide athletes or busy students with an opportunity. Here is yet another course where students will travel to the exotic city of Lexington. With racing culture, strange animals called “horses,” and various historical sites, Centre students will have time to explore a remarkable city built on years of history in a foreign land. No knowledge of the local language is necessary, but it is encouraged.
