Mystical Bluegrass: A New Store Front in Danville

Leigh Wingfeld

A new storefront is opening in Danville, that of Mystical Bluegrass, a woman-owned jewelry store. The owner, Cheyenne, handmakes whimsical jewelry with the goal of crafting cute and discrete jewelry for people who want to express their individuality in a subtle way. Cheyenne started making bracelets after she couldn’t find a discrete evil eye bracelet. She tested various bracelet strings until she found the most effective string for a durable, everyday piece of jewelry. Her hobby continued to evolve as she crafted these bracelets for friends and family; within a few months, she had requests and orders. This hobby turned into a small business for Cheyenne as she opened a digital storefront and sold at farmers markets. However, Jewelry making isn’t her only job, Cheyenne is also a logistics analyst. Due to her full time profession, Cheyenne is always traveling and gaining fans of her craft along the way.

Cheyenne’s business has now grown into a store front in downtown Danville, on second street, open Friday-Sunday. Mystical Bluegrass also does custom jewelry crafting and engravings. As of right now Mystical Bluegrass currently wholesales their materials, but stated that as the business grows they want to shift to making their own materials or sourcing from other places. Mystical Bluegrass also seeks to be a hub for some young, whimsical artists to sell their art. If you want some cute, durable, and subtle jewelry go down to Mystical Bluegrass this weekend.
