As finals approach, Admin wants the Cento to relay changes to the finals schedule to the student body as a whole. In particular: how your finals will be formatted. Depending on your subject matter, you may be expected to conduct a new form of exam. Forget about written exams, final projects, or presentations. The following changes are taking place for Chemistry, English, Math, and Anthropology students. Thank you for your attention to this matter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Chemistry Students: <\/strong>Now, last year the idea of having to create a cure for a deadly virus was floated. Congratulations! You survived that test. Unfortunately, you need a bigger challenge this year. Chemistry exams this year will be creating the deadly virus for the freshmen to develop a cure for. After all, chemistry professors cannot be expected to do all the work, and students need to display creativity in both directions of such a problem. Have fun and get creative! If you create a truly evil virus, you will be awarded a Bachelors in Mad Science upon graduation.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>English Students<\/strong>: Plenty of English students have experienced Socratic discussions of various ideas, symbolism, and contexts surrounding books, from fantasy novels to gothic to mysteries. However, what if you have to put this to practical use? That\u2019s right, you will be transported into a proper literary mystery! Using the patterns and knowledge of your classes, you must solve the mystery presented before you. Could it be the oppressed working class striking against the nobles in a symbolic expression of their oppression? Or will it be a noble killing one of their own class to demonstrate how danger exists all around? That is up to you to discover.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Math Students:<\/strong> You have to solve the multiplication of 3 100-digit numbers, do long division of three-digit numbers into 150-digit numbers, and then do a triple integration of a polynomial to the tenth degree with integration by parts. Yes, this will all be by hand. Enjoy yourself.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Anthropology Students:<\/strong> You will be dropped in the middle of a forest in a group and have to create an entirely new culture within three weeks. During which, you will have to conduct a study on yourselves and how well your new civilization develops. A reminder: a new religion, language, and structure of writing must be invented for full points. If not, you will be docked several points. (Additionally, a waiver for possible injury must be signed.
