Shruti Ram | Editor-in-Chief
Shruti Shankar Ram is a senior Psychology major and Behavioral Neuroscience minor from Louisville, KY. She has been a part of the Cento Staff for three years, previously as Copy Chief, Features Editor, and a Staff Writer, and is excited to be acting as Editor-in-Chief this year. Outside of the Cento, she is also on the executive committee for her sorority, Alpha Delta Pi, and a Teaching Assistant for Psychology classes. She can usually be found writing, watching too much reality TV, or drinking Cowan dark roast and complaining about it.
Ben Wells | Technology Editor
Ben Wells is the Cento’s Chief Technology Editor. A senior computer science major and a math minor, Ben looks forward to a future career in computer programming. As President and Founder of the Centre College Esports club, Ben’s ideal afternoon includes playing video games with friends and a large mug of coffee. His hobbies include: League of Legends, watching League of Legends, playing League of Legends, and long walks on the beach.
Michael Greathouse | Business Manager
Michael “The Great House” Greathouse is a sophomore from Versailles, KY and one of the current Advertisement Managers. On campus Michael works as the Treasurer of the Student Activities Council, a Box Office worker at the Norton Center for the Arts, and is an active member of his fraternity Beta Theta Pi. In his spare time Michael also enjoys horseback riding.
Jared Thompson | News Editor
Jared is a senior majoring in International Studies and minoring in History from Glasgow, Kentucky. He has been involved with the Cento since Fall of 2013 when he wrote his first story as a Freelance Writer. Outside of the Cento, Jared is active in the Beta Theta Pi fraternity, is a Senior Interviewer, and likes to go dumpster diving for cheap vinyl records.
Rachel Blandau | Opinions Editor
Rachael Blandau is a Junior Politics major and English minor from Hazard, Ky. This is her second year working for the Cento, and her first year as the Opinions Editor. She is also a member of the Centre Democrats, Vantage Point, and works as a Political Columnist for Politination.com. When she isn’t working for The Cento, you can find her reading, watching soccer, or arguing about Politics.
Emily Innes | Arts & Leisure Editor
Emily Innes is a junior History major from Vermillion, Ohio. This is her first year as Arts & Leisure Editor for The Cento, and previously wrote for the section. She hopes to pursue Law in the future. She is also President of her sorority, Alpha Delta Pi, and a reader for Vantage Point literary magazine.
Benjamin Hadlock | Sports Editor
Benjamin is a sophomore Politics Major who plans on pursuing a PhD after graduating from Centre. He is a member of Men’s Tennis team and has a passion and interest for Centre Athletics as well as both college and professional sports. Benjamin is from Okemos Michigan and is lifelong Michigan State and Detroit sports fan. He credits Bill Simmons as his main literary influence and enjoys writing both serious and comedic articles about athletic events on Centre’s campus.
Becky Fulton | Arts and Leisure Staff Writer
Becky is a junior Classics major from Georgetown, Ky. This is her second year as a staff writer, and has also worked as a freelance writer. When not expressing the many wonders of the Latin language to anyone within earshot, she is an avid tea drinker who likes to listen to 1960s music and read Agatha Christie murder mystery novels. On campus, Becky is also an Office Assistant for the Center for Global Citizenship and a Circulation Assistant in the Grace Doherty Library.
Jason Pinto | Features Staff Writer
Jason, a sophomore, is a new features writer specializing in food and restaurant criticism. Jason is a foodie from Elizabethtown, Kentucky and has a wide range of culinary experience and has enjoyed fine dining from across the country and a few countries in Europe. He has a shrine to Guy Fieri in his room, and prays every night hoping to one day ascend to Flavortown.
Sebastian Duncan | News Staff Writer
Sebastian Duncan is a sophomore from Tennessee. This is his first year as a Staff Writer and he’s looking forward to the experiences that his position will bring. He enjoys doing community service and hopes to pursue a career in criminal law. Sebastian also sings and plays jazz music for gigs around Danville and for Centre College events.
Luke Brooks | Sports Staff Writer
Luke is a senior double major in Economics and Finance who will be plans to pursue a career in hospital administration. He has been a four-year starter on the Centre Men’s Tennis Team and enjoys giving Skip Bayless-esque hot takes on sports events of all types. He was born and raised in Pineville, KY in heart of the Appalachian Mountains on the Kentucky-Tennessee line. Living the curse of being the rare UK fan that enjoys football more than basketball he lives a tortured existence every Saturday each college football season. He writes on UK football and basketball, Centre Athletics, as well on national sports issues.
